More Control Added to Statements and Licenses

At Curve Dental, we believe our customers should be in control, which is why we love receiving feedback and suggestions from our offices! We read all of your suggestions and look for opportunities to turn those suggestions into real changes. That's just what we did with your feedback on statements.

You said you wanted more customization, and we gave you more customization.

The Hidden Benefits of Change

We know that making changes in your practice can be met with apprehension, so sticking with the status quo can seem like the easy, comfortable option. However, an aversion to change will also prevent your practice from innovating and growing. Have you considered what you’re missing out on by not moving to the cloud?

Curve Dental and Bluefin: A Winning Security and Payments Partnership

Healthcare Data Breaches are on the Rise

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office for Civil Rights’ breach portal, there have been 261 healthcare data breaches affecting 9.1 million individuals since the start of 2018. Healthcare is a favorite among hackers because of the sheer amount of data being gathered, from patient’s insurance information, to Social Security numbers, to credit cards – all of which sell for a great price on the Dark Web. Thankfully, Bluefin and Curve have partnered to provide our clients integrated payment processing through Curve Hero, backed by the highest level of security with PCI-validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE).

Is your practice ready for 2019?

As we approach the new year, let’s take a look back at the performance and quality of your practice management software. This software is an integral part of running a successful dental practice. It’s at the center of everything, from charting and imaging to scheduling and billing. The right software will streamline processes to enable you to grow your practice while simultaneously improving the patient experience. Did your practice management software deliver what you needed this year?

Medicaid Alphabetical Tooth Ordering

As per new regulations, Medicaid claim submissions require alphabetical ordering of tooth surfaces on procedures.

Organize Your Files With Our Custom Folder System

Sometimes, I look at all of the papers on my desk and mentally prepare myself for the game of Three-card Monte that follows, as I look for a single piece of paper in that haystack of a mess. If only I had a proper folder system with which to establish a foothold on this combination of cluttered chaos!

Upgrade For Curve Hero’s Get My Data Feature

At Curve Dental, we don't hold your data hostage. You've always had a way to download your practice's data to a simple text file from with the Curve Hero application. We call this feature: Get My Data.

Access Who’s On Deck From Scheduler

Earlier this year, we released our new Who’s On Deck feature. Many offices are already using Who's on Deck as part of their morning huddles to help understand the patients that are coming in today, tomorrow and the day after. Based on a lot of positive feedback we've made it easier and quicker to access. You can now launch the Who's On Deck dashboard from the Scheduler!

Read-Only Scheduler Now Available For Curve Hero

The internet is an amazing place. Tons of information flying back and forth every day, connecting the world like never before in history. It seems like magic, only it is anything but magic. It requires very complicated infrastructure to facilitate this elaborate communication across the entire planet.

Using the web requires Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to connect you to the internet. When you are streaming videos or checking updates on your social media accounts, ISPs make that possible for you. Although these services are very reliable today, they are not infallible and sometimes service becomes unavailable. Since Curve Hero is a cloud application that relies on the internet, this can halt an office in their tracks in the rare event that an internet connection is not available.

This is where our new offline functionality shines.

Curve Hero’s scheduler is now available in a read-only capacity whenever you don’t have an internet connection. There are limitations to this:

  • You have to have already logged in to Hero before the internet connection becomes unavailable.
  • When you browse through your scheduler, the browser remembers the data you’ve looked at so that it can show it again later during an outage. As scheduler data gets updated, the browser also remembers those changes.
  • While offline, you’ll be able to see information on the scheduler and in the appointment summary (subject to the limitations already discussed).
  • The next time you log in to Curve Hero that data will be “forgotten” by the browser and it will start remembering all over again as you move through the scheduler.

This new functionality will allow you to have access to critical appointment information for patients if your internet connection is not working. Luckily, ISP outages are rare and do not normally last very long these days.

How will you know if this is happening?

Hero will notify you when this feature kicks in. A red “Offline” message will appear in the bottom left corner of the application. If you lose internet connection from your ISP, there will likely be other indications, such as any other web applications not working.

Once your connection is restored, Curve Hero will begin to work as normal again.

We understand that these issues arise and we want to give you an option which lets you continue working as much as possible throughout any sort of interruption to your internet connection.

Orange Summit: Ask 2 Practices, Get 3 Opinions

I find it very inspiring to read the works of the great authors so it should come as no surprise that this blog post just seemed to flow so naturally. It’s been two weeks since we wrapped up Orange Summit 2018 at the beautiful Sun Valley Resort in Sun Valley Idaho.
