Curve Delivers Significant Cost Savings
There are cost savings associated with Curve. It's pretty significant. Part of it really boils down to the simplicity of the pricing structure with Curve. So with Curve, since it's modern, elegant, and it works, they seem to have time to develop other add-ons that they include in the base price. There is one thing that they don't, which is still priced much less expensive than a third-party solution.
So here are some examples. With Dentrix, you're paying a pretty significant support agreements like $2,300 or something like that. With Curve that's included. With Dentrix, you also have to pay for e-claims. You have to pay for statements. You have to pay for any third party, or their own baked-in, patient retention, patient confirmation, appointment management, online booking, all these things if they're even available. So Dentrix a lot of times doesn't even offer these services. So now you're out dealing with other companies. And some of these other companies do a really great job, and they do that because Dentrix doesn't.
But they don't integrate as well. And part of that is because Dentrix, being a Henry Schein product, it likes to control who has access to what. And it favors their in-house proprietary systems–which are garbage, so why would you do that? So when you're using a third party process, it doesn't always integrate well. We had one that we used which we loved was the health history system. They went out of business one year because Henry Schein increased their cost of API licensing outrageously. And they just said, we just have to shut down the dental side of this sorry. They were amazing. So that's the disruption. I don't like disruptions. I like to work on teeth.
So with Curve, I have built in e-claims, I have built in support which, I don't know if you heard me mention this before, but the support is within a minute when I call. Dentrix, you're on hold for 20, 30 minutes or more. I've had to hang up on Dentrix a few times. That's costly. What's your time worth?
