How Curve Saved Dr. DeFeo Practice Money
So I started this practice in 2019 as a start up practice, and when I started it, we started with Curve Dental. I practice in the Boston area for the last 20 years, so I worked at a few different offices where we've used other software such as EagleSoft and Dentrix, and we've just found that Curve Dental has been really easy and user friendly. My team and I have all picked up on how to use it very quickly.
So Curve software has been a great software to work with because in the past, from other areas I've worked with other softwares. It's taken a long time for staff to train and get familiar with what to do, whereas Curve seems to be more user intuitive and my staff seems to be picking it up very quickly. Even having hired someone with no previous dental experience, starting her with some of the training modules, she was able to really jump right in within a few weeks and start being an important part of our team.
So I definitely recommend Curve software to other people. One of the great things has been we don't have to worry about servers. We don't have to worry about backing up our server. We don't have to worry about the server crashing and dealing with an IT emergency. And then also, we've been really happy with the price point of Curve and with all the add on features that they offer. I think it's actually saving us quite a bit of money.
One of the other great things that we've, I've been really happy with,Curve is being able to use it remotely. So, during the pandemic, when we closed down our office, I was able to reach out, contact patients, communicate with patients when they had dental emergencies. On the weekends it's very easy for me to look up a patient's records, see their X-rays, talk them through any dental emergencies that are happening. Also, sometimes in the evening, it's been more convenient for me to be home working, doing reports and things like that versus being in the office and staying late. So the flexibility of being able to use software from home or from the office has been really great for me.
